The Ecuadorian government has been concerned with the good life of its citizens and the most vulnerable as the field of seniors sectors is why through tax rebates, more than promote tax culture benefits granted contributing to the good life of these people. In recent years the number of requests for the return of VAT to the elderly has grown in line with the older population that is ever growing in our country. The model applied VAT refund in Ecuador's main objective is the return the VAT paid on purchases of both goods and services other than personal use and consumption of the recipient. The refund procedure towards this group in recent years has had continuous modifications versus permanent population growth of this segment of the population, this in order to improve and provide timely and quality care. Suggest alternatives to improve and optimize the process of VAT refund to this group become increasingly essential. The proposals referred to in this research aim to minimize waiting times and streamline the accreditation process of the requested values without affecting the control mechanisms of the Tax Administration.
