La política exterior del Ecuador respecto de UNASUR y ALBA-TCP durante el periodo 2010-2015

The present paper studies the role of Ecuador, in its foreign policy or citizen diplomacy, in Latin American integration processes, in particular the Alianza Bolivariana para los Pueblos de Nuestra América – Tratado de Comercio de los Pueblos (ALBA – TCP) and the Unión de Naciones Suramericanas (UNASUR). The citizen diplomacy in his speech and in his external work has privileged the integration and therefore has decided decisively in the processes of UNASUR and ALBA-TCP. Ecuador's role as a small State during the period 2010-2015 has been significant for the consolidation of integration; However, at the moment these processes are apparently in decline due to the disappearance of initiating leaders, crises and political changes, and the crisis of commodity prices, in particular oil.
