| Ամփոփում: | Over the time, Ecuador has been considered a key player in the history of global trade, forming part of the list of most relevant exporters since the 19th century. Products such as cocoa, banana, rice, textiles, minerals, hydrocarbons, among others, participated in a wide spectrum of the export basket since 1890. Currently, the reality is no different, with a long-term view the country has managed to position a wide, varied and internationally renowned exportable offer in several markets and economic blocs, one of them being the European Union. This investigation seeks to determine what were the consequences on the Ecuadorian export supply during the period 2017-2020, given the signing of the Multiparty Agreement with the European Union, considering that it constitutes for the country one of the trading partners with the greatest participation and dynamism for bilateral exports between these actors. For this purpose, the tariff items that had an immediate effect on the degradation of their exports will be considered, as well as their participation in macroeconomic variables that contribute to determining the growth of a country. In this sense, the trends of these data, reflected in the trade balance and the Gross Domestic Product of Ecuador, played a fundamental role in the applied methodology (mixed qualitative and quantitative), which, supported by correlational analysis and descriptive interpretation, specified the immediate results of this trade agreement for the country. |
