En el ámbito de la construcción, en donde las empresas hacen ofertas de sus bienes inmuebles, su principal problema es: ¿cómo vender un producto que aún no existe? Hay varias formas de vender un bien inmueble intangible: en maqueta, en planos impresos, con la visita al departamento modelo, entre otros. Métodos utilizados que en poco de los casos dan resultado a ventas activas. En Ecuador son pocas las constructoras que utilizan los catálogos digitales como medios de visualización y material informativo enfocados a la comercialización de productos inmuebles en general, donde se observan características, especificaciones técnicas de las propuestas que tiene la empresa. En la actualidad, la mayoría de empresas que están utilizando los catálogos digitales son nuevas en el mercado y se encuentran en países occidentales, manejando estos conceptos de innovación en su portafolio y garantizando a la misma un apto posicionamiento en el mercado, ya que, al momento de actualizar los buscadores, su lista de productos se entre las primeras páginas recomendadas.
