Zusammenfassung:This investigation is about the history of Ibarra city, specifically on the creation of the highway and racetrack of the Yahuarcocha lake, both with the Club de Automovilismo y Turismo de Imbabura, C.A.T.I. Which since it’s creation, it has had adults as their target audience for excellence. For that reason, this project is focused on children public. Thus, the objective of this study is the generation of graphic material for the child population of the city of Ibarra, allowing through it, the transmission of historical information. In this sense, through surveys and interviews, it was possible to find very encouraging answers about the material and graphic elements of preference for a better understanding according to the students of fifth grade of the Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional “Sánchez y Cifuentes”. Those results showed the eagerness and urgency to know the story through a digital comic, the same one that contributes significantly to both C.A.T.I and the general population. In this context, it is recommended to continue developing graphic materials aimed to children, through a graphic design that exemplifies the contents in an attractive and impressive way. To conclude, based on this material, additional research could be carried out to identify other factors to take into account when selecting related topics to provide continuity or expand the historical information.
