| Sumari: | The research focuses on the design and implementation of a public transportation payment system in the city of Ibarra, using QR code technology. The main objective of the project is to improve efficiency and security in the process of paying for public transportation fares, through the implementation of a mobile payment system that allows users to pay their fares quickly and safely. The project is divided into three secondary objectives: to bibliographically substantiate the QR technology for the collection of public transportation fares in the city of Ibarra, to design and implement a simulation prototype of payments through the mobile application using QR technology, and to design and implement a mobile application for the management of recharges at payment points. It was developed using the XP (Extreme Programming) methodology for software development, and was divided into three chapters, the first chapter, State of the Art, provides a solid foundation for the work through the review of scientific publications relevant to the topic of the degree work. The second chapter, Materials and Methods, focuses on the technological tools and phases of the project development. Finally, in the third chapter, Results and Discussion, the conclusions and recommendations of the project are defined from the results collected. The public transportation payment system with QR codes designed and implemented is an innovative and efficient solution to improve the process of paying for public transportation fares in the city of Ibarra. The system allows users to pay their fares quickly and safely through a mobile application, and also allows the management of recharges at payment points. The project demonstrates innovation and entrepreneurship in TIC´s, and has been approved by the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. The project of design and implementation of a public transportation payment system with QR codes in the city of Ibarra is an innovative and efficient solution to improve the process of paying for public transportation fares. |
