Samenvatting:The university residential project is proposed with the purpose of providing housing to students who do not have a quality life and with adequate furniture. It will be carried out through spaces that provide the necessary comfort so that students can study and have a better quality of life both inside the facilities and in the recreational areas. The purpose is to integrate the universities through this residential project, since it is located at a strategic point, so that the transport problem would be solved since it is 10 minutes from the universities. In recent years in the city of Ibarra, there has been a high demand for students, which is why the houses in the sector have been dedicated to renting their rooms, and even new con structions have been made for this purpose. The state of the art of research is organized in thematic order starting from the global problem that is the quality of life that students currently have where they reside in the university sector. Then each of the reasons is analyzed along with its theoretical bases and back ground. The referents analyzed are divided into two, the first group corresponds to the international, from which the adaptation to the built environment as social is rescued\; From the national references, the sustainability of the building is rescued. The methodology to be used is mixed, that is, a combination of quantitative and qualitative, being indispensable to measure exact data on university students and their quality of life and way of living. The instruments to be used are surveys, which will be applied one for each type of student and a final survey that will be directed to the population where the university residential project will be located, in order to measure the degree of acceptance that this equipment will have in the sector. The architectural proposal is based on offering comfortable spaces contained within a sustainable architecture.
