Description
Résumé:The present study was carried out in the period from May 2023 to August 2023, in the city of Ibarra, province of Imbabura, taking the Tahuando River basin and seven different points. Tests and bioassays are carried out in order to evaluate the physical and chemical characteristics of the water. The concentration of oils and fats by the APHA 5520-B method. The analysis of oils and fats was determined not to exceed the suggested parameters, with maximums of 0.24 mg/L and 0.22 mg/L in point 6 and 7 respectively. The test on lettuce presents a different Normalized Elongation Index in point 5. Regarding microbiota, it is identified that the conditions are potentially toxic in points 2, 6 and 7. The pH levels by the method have a tendency to become basic (initial point 7.72 and end point 8.14), the electrical conductivity increases for the end point to 669 µS/cm, the dissolved oxygen is above 80%. This analysis concludes that there are different anthropic or natural factors that represent a risk to the microbiota and conservation.
