description | The community of San Clemente is characterized by its cultural and natural wealth. Muyu is an enterprise located in the San Clemente community, where there is potential for the development of biocultural tourism, preserving and rescuing both the culture and the ecosystem. The goal of this study is to develop biocultural tourism activities through the design of a tourism product within the Muyu tourism enterprise, with the aim of promoting biocultural heritage. The methodology adopted a mixed approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. A non-probability convenience sampling was conducted. The techniques used were surveys and interviews, including eight interviews with elderly members of the community to gather information about the biocultural activities of the San Clemente community. An interview was also conducted with the community president and the owner of the Muyu enterprise. The surveys were designed to identify the profile of the tourist and the acceptance of biocultural activities. The most relevant results showed that the potential client's profile is a woman aged 20 to 35 years, of American nationality, traveling with family, staying a maximum of three days, and interested in participating in biocultural activities such as water conservation, traditional agricultural practices, ancestral medicine, among others. Based on this, a tourism product was designed around the described activities. It is concluded that the implementation of biocultural activities at the Muyu tourism enterprise has a positive impact on the preservation of local traditions and on visitor satisfaction. |
