La investigación se centra en resolver una problemática con respecto a la pérdida de la identidad cultural y la falta de empleo debido a las pocas oportunidades de desarrollo. La comunidad cuenta con recursos que pueden ser utilizados para su propio beneficio, poseen grandes extensiones de áreas verdes, diversidad de flora y fauna, y una identidad que está vinculada a la historia de la parroquia de Quichinche y Otavalo. Se propone una solución arquitectónica, social, económica y ambiental, debido al entorno en el que se ubica y al problema que se quiere solventar.
