For the investigation, the systematic diagonal sampling method was used to cover a greater coverage of the lagoon\; With the use of devices, samples were taken in different strata and parameters such as: turbidity, phosphates, nitrates, ammonium, dissolved oxygen, color, chlorophyll, among others, were analyzed. The conclusions showed that the current state of the waters of the Yahuarcocha lagoon are in a Eutrophic state, according to the results obtained by the Trophic State Index (IET)\; the index was determined by the high values of the concentration of chlorophyll a, phosphates and the depth of the water mirror indicated by the Secchi disc. |

En este trabajo de investigación se parte de la identificación del problema y el objetivo central de “Evaluar el estado actual de eutrofización y su afectación en las aguas de la laguna de Yahuarcocha” para llegar a determinar las zonas más afectadas por la eutrofización, por la contaminación de nutrientes o la presencia de pigmentos fotosintéticos en los cuerpos de agua dulce. Para la investigación se utilizó el método de muestreo aleatorio estratificado para abarcar una mayor cobertura de la laguna; con el uso de dispositivos, se tomaron las muestras en distintos estratos y se analizaron parámetros como: turbidez, fosfatos, nitratos, amonio, oxígeno disuelto, color, clorofila, entre otros.
