| Итог: | In strawberry (Fragaria ananassa) farming high amounts of agricultural supplies (fertilizers and pesticides) are applied to increase yields, which may result in effects on the environment and consumers. The current research comes up as a greenhouse management initiative in an aeroponic system, where plant roots are suspended in the air having no contact with the soil and being simply nourished under fertigation. The aim of this study was to evaluate the adaptability of two varieties of strawberry (Fragaria ananassa) to the aeroponic system, through agronomic and economic analysis. The experiment was carried out in an area of 105 m² for which six modules were installed and 30 seedlings were placed in each module. Additionally, the nutrient solution was prepared in an 1100 liter tank and distributed by means of micro-sprinklers. A Completely Randomized Block Design with A x B factorial arrangement with four treatments was used where factor A was two varieties of strawberry\; Albion and Monterrey and factor B, the traditional and aeroponic systems. As a result, it was shown that the strawberry varieties used during this research adapted well to the aeroponic system. Nevertheless, further research will be required so as to manage the system properly, in order to consider it as a viable choice for strawberry production. |
