Description
Summary:The Orlando's Hostel stands out as an establishment located in the charming city of Ibarra, in the province of Imbabura. It is an integral part of the extensive hotel offerings of this city, providing lodging services to a diverse clientele that includes both local and international travelers. This hostel takes pride in its first-rate facilities, affordable rates, and the genuine warmth of its staff, which come together to offer an exceptional service experience. This commitment to excellence has driven the establishment's management to explore new tools and approaches in order to further elevate the quality of their service and expand their reach. In doing so, they aim not only to increase visitor traffic but also to contribute to the growth of tourism in this beautiful city. The research is focused on the design and creation of a web-based hotel management system, with the fundamental purpose of automating the various processes inherent in the business sphere. This approach seeks to enhance the quality of the service provided, streamline task execution, and optimize resource utilization. Additionally, there is a pursuit of greater efficiency in handling and managing the information that flows within the company. The acquisition of data regarding the requirements and guidelines of the system intended for the hostel was carried out through a series of interviews. These discussions were conducted with Attorney Elvira Osorio, who was appointed by the hostel's management to oversee the conception, development, and subsequent testing of the project. The web-based system meets the requirements set forth by Orlando's Hostel according to the guidelines provided by the management. The third chapter of this report details the research results, demonstrating the successful fulfillment of all requests. Furthermore, the project author's recommendations for the hostel are included, along with conclusions based on the results obtained in the project.
