| Riassunto: | The investigation was realized in the lands of the Experimental Farm ECAA, place in the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador Headquarters Ibarra. The objective of this investigation was the evaluation the effects of the magnetic induction of the water of irrigation, in the development, production and performance in the culture of gherkin (Cucumis sativus L.), Jaguar in the Experimental Farm ECAA. The design of blocks was applied completely at random by five treatments and three repetitions, using 480 plantines of gherkin of 15 days of vegetative growth established in 15 experimental units, with 32 plantines in each one. The treatments were: T1 100 % of the supply of the water of irrigation with magnetic induction, For the treatments T2 75 %\; T3 50 %\; T4 25 %\; T5 (witness), did not use the magnetic induction. The variables in study were: Height of plants, thickness of stem, days to the flowering, performance of the culture, pH, electrical conductivity. In the present investigation the effect of the magnetic induction was evidenced, obtaining the following results: The performance obtained in T1 = 20 t/ha, T2 = 18 t/ha, T3 = 16 t/ha, T4 = 15 t/ha and witness = 14 t/ha. Considering the 100% magnetic induction treatment the best values obtained\; agronomic parameters: height of plant in 142,64 cm, diameter of stem 1,10 cm, days to the flowering 36 days\; chemical parameters of water: pH 6,40 and electrical conductivity in 195,83 μS/cm, in relation to the witness. These results favored the increase of the yield with a reduction of four days in the phenological stage (flowering) with respect to the control. |
