Sistema web para la administración de expedientes médicos en medicina familiar

In the digital age, efficient management of medical information is essential for enhancing the quality of care in medical practices. This project focuses on developing a web-based system for managing medical records at Dr. Viviana Zurita's family medicine practice, aiming to optimize the handling of clinical histories and automate critical administrative processes. The proposed system facilitates quick access to patient information, improves diagnostic accuracy, and reduces wait times. The system is developed using the eXtreme Programming (XP) methodology, which supports an iterative, client-centered workflow. Research includes interviews and direct observation of the practice's workflow to understand the system's requirements thoroughly. Key functionalities include patient registration, advanced record search, exam management, electronic prescription handling, and security measures to safeguard sensitive information. This project posits that digitalization and automation of clinical records will improve operational efficiency and increase satisfaction for both patients and healthcare professionals. Through this system, the project aims to reduce administrative burdens and promote more agile and personalized care, aligned with modern e-health trends.
