Shrnutí:This investigation was done in the experimental farm of the Pontificia Universidad Católica campus Ibarra, Imbaya parish, Antonio Ante canton, Imbabura province. The objective of the investigation was to determine the digestibility in vivo (IVD) and in vitro (IVDT) in Pelibuey breed sheep using two types of diets based on preserved forage it was evaluated. Alfalfa hay (T1), forage mix hay (T2) and kikuyo green grass were evaluated as a wintness (T0), the desing that was used was a completely randomized desing (DCA) arrangement with 3 treatments and 4 repetitions, resulting in 12 experimental units (UE). The in vivo digestibility analyzes in (T1) reflected significant differences for crude protein (CP) 19% and crude fiber (FC) 42% of total digestible nutrients (NDT) of dry matter (DM) while T2, I present of PB 9% and 58% of FC and T0 presented of PB 48% and 5% of FC. On the other hand, the response for in vitro digestibility (IVDT) shows us 72% for T1, 75% for T2 and 99% for T0 of IVTD. It clearly indicates that the species Ovis aries presents a positive response in the absorption of nutrients for the conserved forages studied. It is concluded that providing preserved forages favors producers by generating greater profits in the short term, as it is a more digestible and palatable food the sheep takes better advantage of it and there is a greater consumption and there fore a greater weight gain food conversion and body condition.
