Sumari:The present study focuses on the lack of specialized preparation of teachers in the area of Cultural and Artistic Education, which negatively affects student performance and learning. This situation originates due to deficiencies in the institutional policy related to the assignment and distribution of class hours. As a result, most students lack practical and theoretical knowledge in basic artistic manifestations and contemporary art, which limits their comprehensive development. The objective of this research is to design a pedagogical proposal to strengthen the learning of Cultural and Artistic Education, from a project-based approach, aimed at students of Higher Basic Education at the U.E. "Carlota Jaramillo". The methodology used corresponds to a projective type of research, articulated to the general objective, with a field research design, given that the research will obtain information in a previously mentioned natural context. Likewise, in terms of temporality, it corresponds to a contemporary transactional design, since it will be used in a present time and the instrument will be applied at a unique moment in time. Likewise, in terms of the scope of the study, the multivariate or multi-eventual design is selected, since the study is aimed at designing the components of a pedagogical proposal to strengthen ECA learning. Consequently, a 28-question questionnaire is applied to 27 selected students and the results are analyzed using basic statistical frequency tables. The findings show the specific interests and deficiencies in the area of Cultural and Artistic Education. Therefore, designing a pedagogical proposal that responds to the needs raised in the questionnaire is essential for the comprehensive development of students, promoting creativity, critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the different artistic and cultural manifestations. Project-Based Learning (ABPro) is the methodology that is adapted for the development of key competencies such as creativity, critical thinking and theoretical and practical knowledge, facilitating active and cooperative participation. It is concluded that applying the pedagogical proposal allows students to acquire meaningful learning, connecting academic content with reality and adapting to different learning styles.
