Puesta en valor de los juegos tradicionales del Cantón San Lorenzo del Pailón como factor de desarrollo turístico.

Traditional games are authentic representations of a culture, of a specific place because it implicitly shows all its traditions, values, history and wisdom of a people\; with each game the culture and its ancestral knowledge are recreated\; It is a way to maintain the legacy left by the ancestors from generation to generation and bring to the present that beautiful past in which they lived, so that children and young people can learn and know part of that rich collective memory that the Afro-Ecuadorian people have. and preserve its essence and tradition. This research focused on knowing about the existence of the traditional games of San Lorenzo del Pailón to determine the knowledge and importance that they have in the population and motivate their practice and conservation through use as tourist attractions. To collect the information, a methodology with a mixed approach was used, in the Inductive-deductive and Analytical-synthetic\; the data was obtained through a survey, interviews with experts and an observation sheet that shows the characteristics of each game\; The calculation of the sample was carried out with the population of San Lorenzo del Pailón of 42,486 inhabitants, when applying the formula, the results were 165 survey samples. All this information collected yielded positive results such as that both the respondents and the experts know about the traditional Games since they are one of the activities that were carried out in the families of San Lorenzo Pailón as recreation in their daily lives\; Quantitative and qualitative information was collected for the characterization of 8 traditional games of San Lorenzo del Pailón. To conclude, it is reflected that traditional games are part of the cultural wealth of a people and that they have been transcending in San Lorenzo families since very old times when their ancestors performed them, and from there the families kept these cultural manifestations alive as free action. and spontaneous from his usual life.
