| Tóm tắt: | Geo-tourist routes are an innovative way to explore tourist destinations, blending geospatial technology with the traditional travel experience. These routes harness geographical information and navigation capabilities to provide travelers with unique and enriching experiences. The purpose of this study is to develop geographical tourist routes to expand the tourist offer in the Imbabura World Geo Park. The methodology combines inductive-deductive, analytical-synthetic, and deductive-logical methods in applied research. Three research techniques were used: surveys, interviews, and non-participatory observation, with a sample calculated from the economically active population (EAP) of Imbabura, resulting in 165 surveys. Interviews provided valuable professional perspectives on tourism. Tourist diversification in the Imbabura Geo Park has been a recurring theme for public and private entities. This study highlights the importance of geospatial technology and mixed research methods in diversifying the tourist offer in the Imbabura World Geo Park. Surveys, interviews, and non-participatory observation revealed that the design of geo-tourist routes greatly benefits from the use of tools such as Google Earth and Google Maps, while the influence of social networks underscores their crucial role in promoting and informing tourists, highlighting the importance of staying updated with current tourism trends and demands. This study highlights the innovative potential of geo-tourist routes in the Imbabura World Geo Park. In conclusion, this study emphasizes that the combination of geospatial technology and mixed research methods has proven to be fundamental for the development and promotion of these routes. Collaboration between public and private entities, along with monitoring current tourism trends, are key elements for the ongoing success in diversifying and promoting tourism in the Geopark. |
