Delphi technique to formulate a Water Quality Index (AQI) that has been considered by experts and the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) of the United States. The present study calculated the water quality of the Tahuando river located in the city of Ibarra (Ecuador) using this tool and examining the parameters: temperature, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, total solids, nitrites, phosphates, biochemical oxygen demand, pH and coliforms. same feces that were compared with a similar study carried out in 2016, with the aim of contrasting the quality states of this water source. In conclusion, a decrease in water quality was evidenced at the study sites, showing that the water quality of the Tahuando River is within the “Medium” category range according to the ICA-NSF. |
