Gaia:The present final title work Aporophobia and Hate Crimes: A Look from the Migratory Socioeconomic Status in Ecuador, answers the research question: Is there a causal link between aporophobia and hate crimes due to migratory socioeconomic status in Ecuador? the main objective of the research is to determine whether there is a causal link between aporophobia and the commission of hate crimes based on socioeconomic status, to the detriment of people who are in a situation of human mobility, through a technical-legal review of the cases presented in Ecuador in the light of Adela Cortina's theoretical proposal, in order to identify the presence of the characteristic elements of aporophobia in the crimes perpetrated. This was done through an exploratory, inductive, and socio-legal analysis in order to determine whether or not there is a causal link between aporophobia and hate crimes due to the socioeconomic condition of the migrant. The research is framed in the quantitative approach that was developed through the inductive method, which was carried out by means of the support of the documentary review, it made use of national norms and in the same way, international norms which helped us to the pertinence of this neologism. In the same way, it was possible to conclude that hate crime is manifested when a person shows intolerance and prejudice towards another person, or even towards several people. Likewise, it is not possible to determine if there is a specific causal link between aporophobia and hate crimes due to the lack of cases of this type of hate crime due to socioeconomic status in the province of Imbabura.
