Evaluation of Recreational and Tourist Use of the Pasochoa Wildlife Refuge: Evaluación del Uso Recreativo y Turístico del Refugio de Vida Silvestre Pasochoa

An introductory characterization is presented about the situation of integration to local tourism networks, including the tourist infrastructure, of the Refugio de Vida Silvestre Pasochoa, based in an interview and surveys that have been applied to visitors of this protected area. It can be seen, that it’s an appropriate stage for the implementation of sustainable tourism, based on an organized group of guides, paths in good conditions, an approach in environmental education in tourism activities, the respect of the current regulations about tourism in protected areas, and the permanent improvement and maintenance of its structure.
