Science Technology and Socio-Economic Development of the Indigenous Communities of Pastaza

The present article presents the conceptual frameworks of the studies for the sustainable development of ecotourism in the Ecuadorian Amazon and the social contribution of Science and Technology contextualized in the conditions of Ecuador. Knowledge about science-technology-society relations is very relevant for the analysis of the theoretical-methodological and ethical problems that arise in the scientific-technological field. The deepening of these problems makes it possible to undertake studies of research-innovation, application, evaluation and the context of programs for the development of tourism in a community setting. On these theoretical assumptions we present the results of a reference study carried out with the objective of expanding knedge of the main trends of the economic and social development of the indigenous communities in Pastaza Province from tourist strategies.
