All Trichoderma isolates showed ability to suppress the bacterial growth between 14 and 16%; however, just isolate A4 was capable to inhibit the pathogen development in 15,76%, approximately. Trichoderma spp. isolates obtained from tomato fields in the tomato fields of La Plata has the potential to prevent the bacterial canker under glasshouse conditions. |

Trichoderma spp. isolates obtained from tomato fields in the tomato fields of La Plata has the potential to prevent the bacterial canker under glasshouse conditions.En la presente investigación se evaluaron aislamientos de Trichoderma spp., obtenidos de plantaciones de tomate de la zona hortícola de La Plata (Buenos Aires, Argentina), para controlar el desarrollo in vitro de Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis agente causal del cáncer bacteriano del tomate. Utilizando un medio selectivo para Trichoderma spp. se obtuvieron nueve aislamientos de Trichoderma spp. a partir de muestras de suelo usando la técnica de dilución seriada. A través de una prueba in vitro se evaluó su capacidad para suprimir e inhibir el crecimiento del patógeno, encontrándose que todos ellos suprimían el crecimiento de la bacteria en medio de cultivo entre 14 y 16%, y sólo uno de ellos (aislamiento A4) inhibió aproximadamente en un 15,76% el desarrollo de la bacteria.
