Résumé:This research was developed from the identification of the need to prepare the families of young people with moderate intellectual disability who are cared for in the Cariño Specialized Education Unit, to contribute to their transition to independent adult life with the greatest autonomy possible . To help solve this problem, an educational program was designed for these families, based on philosophical, psychological, sociological and legal foundations that are part of the theoretical component of this program. It also has a methodological component that expresses the stages of the educational program (awareness, structuring, putting into practice and evaluation) as well as the structure of said program, which expresses the topics to be developed………
