Tóm tắt: | This research covers unemployment before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ecuador. The general crisis caused by COVID 19 in Ecuador has impacted a large part of the economy, creating a chain effect in various sectors, resulting in an increase in the unemployment rate and a considerable drop in income. Unemployment is a social and economic problem that affects the entire labor market, a problem that is not only visible today, but has been present in the economy since the very beginning of modern society. Ecuador is one of the countries where the unemployment rate has reached 4% in recent years, due to the instability of oil prices and the increase in foreign debt, facing increasing changes. Unemployment in Ecuador is one of the main problems faced by the governments of the day, because in the face of high unemployment rates it can be affirmed that the country's economy is unreliable and hinders foreign investment, vital for the growth and economic development of a region. Studies carried out in Ecuador show that research has been carried out on human talent and its impact on business development, especially in public companies, as well as the form of institutional approach developed by organizations. The research had as general objective: Analyze unemployment before and in the COVID 19 pandemic in Ecuador, period 2018-202. Obtaining as a result and conclusion of this investigation that unemployment known as unemployment or forced unemployment, in the labor market, refers to the situation of the worker who lacks employment and, therefore, salary. |
