Summary:The objective of this study was to analyze the incidence of family breakdown in elementary basic education students from the Fiscal School in Guayaquil who presented language disorders. To do so, a theoretical investigation was carried out that dealt with the relationship between family breakdown and language disorders. The research was carried out under a mixed approach, the type of research was descriptive. The theoretical method was applied through a bibliographic review. The empirical method was applied through field research that consisted of applying interviews to teachers and representatives and classroom observation. The research is non-experimental. The main results showed that teachers, although they are willing to help students with stuttering, do not have the necessary tools to do so. The institution does not carry out training or activities to help students overcome academic challenges. It concluded with the presentation of a training proposal aimed at parents and teachers of the School in Guayaquil.
