Towards the end of his treatise the author referred systematizes the characteristics of what he calls dominant television discourse in nine points……….Los shows televisivos dedicados al entretenimiento se inscriben dentro de una construcción todavía más extensa, el discurso televisivo. Para entenderlos y analizarlos es preciso, entonces, situarlos dentro del ámbito de este discurso y sus implicaciones. En su texto el discurso de la televisión, (González, 1992, pág. 147), realiza un exhaustivo análisis de tal discurso desde la semiótica, el sicoanálisis lacaniano y la antropología cultural. Vale la pena señalar que, a pesar de tratarse de un análisis que vio la luz a inicios de la década de los años noventa del siglo pasado, su pertinencia para el estudio propuesto (y para cualquier trabajo que involucre la televisión y sus productos) es indiscutible.
