| Shrnutí: | This research is based on the problems that occur when parents are not sufficiently involved in the learning of their young children. Theoretical supports were identified that support the importance of active collaboration between the school and the family and that supported the objective of analyzing the influence of family involvement on the learning of children from 3 to 4 years old in the context of initial education in an educational unit in the city of Guayaquil. We worked with a mixed methodology of descriptive scope, with the application of surveys to parents, interviews with teachers and observations of children in their school and family work environment. The characterization and analysis of family influence revealed areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. It was evidenced that, although not at low levels, greater support from the family is required in school activities and in emotional support for children so that they achieve better learning results. The findings acknowledge that it might be beneficial for the school to communicate as effectively and clearly as possible how this family support approach is implemented in daily practice. The recommendations focus on strengthening emotional support from the family and establishing community partnerships and continuously monitoring child development to optimize children's educational experience in the learning process. |
