| Sumario: | This paper proposes a modular design for a comprehensive rehabilitation center for drug users in the province of Santa Elena. Its objective is to present an architectural alternative that will control and reduce the increase in drug addiction by offering flexible, functional, and dignified spaces that comprehensively support users' recovery process. Youth are considered the driving force of social, economic, and political change and transformation, and their participation is fundamental to the country's development. However, public policy has failed to implement spaces that guarantee comprehensive care for this population. This proposal presents an architectural design with adaptable and sustainable modular architecture, which allows for a rapid response to future expansions and modifications, while providing a safe and functional environment that favors the recovery and social reintegration of users. Regarding the implementation of modular architecture, it will have a construction system with prefabricated panels to facilitate assembly and unpacking. Spatial flexibility is another important point, which will stand out, allowing for the addition, removal, or reorganization of modules, the use of thermally appropriate materials, and the integration of vegetation. During the development of the study, analogues were analyzed as references, also establishing a methodology that integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches. Finally, we developed a building proposal using plans and renderings. |
