Actualmente, la noción de universalidad y la figura de los derechos humanos encuentran un profundo descrédito, por lo que apremia una reformulación para librarlas de la connotación abstracta que suele adjudicárseles. Se exploran tres momentos de la universalidad: la condición humana como realidad universal, la universalidad en la pluralidad identitaria y la universalidad política.
