إضافة وسم | الملخص: | The purpose of this article is to analyze the effect that the implementation of the import-substitution industrialization model had on the external and fiscal balance between 2007 and 2017 through a descriptive and longitudinal bibliographic investigation. During this period the presence of twin deficits persisted which increased the country's dependence in external savings, mainly in the form of debt, without achieving a structural change of the productive matrix, since exports continue to be based on commodities, mainly the crude oil, and targeted into a principal destination, the United States.
