| Summary: | The impact of pandemics (COVID-19) was evident in 2020 with the forced restriction of mobility, commercial activity and social dynamics that left almost two years of consequences revealed in the contraction of tourist activity in Guayaquil´s city, a multi-diverse and fashionable destination in 2022, and one of the main ports and commercial axis of Ecuador. This study presents data collected through a survey applied in 112 establishments such as tourist accommodation, food and beverage, transportation, brokerage, and tourist operation. The results were organized into five dimensions: business profile; the pandemics and its repercussions; business management in times of crisis; preparation for the future in the short and medium term and reactivation strategies. Each one reveals important findings about the economic effects for tourism entrepreneurs, their response capacity and recommendations for their reactivation.
