Summary:"This research analyzes how the right to protection recognized for older adults in the ecuadorian system is utopian, and how the principles of co-responsibility and inclusion are ineffective. The sub-constitutional norms of substantive and procedural law that recognize rights and guarantees of specialized protection for ecuadorian Older Adults are ineffective. The studies analyzed by government entities that are part of this study demonstrate the violation of older adults' rights by descendants. Finally, the co-responsibility recognized in the legal system for older adults is a merely descriptive statement, lacking prescriptive force"
