Este trabajo parte de la hipótesis de que la prensa hegemónica, perteneciente a una burguesía local altamente diversificada, con el fin de abrir un ciclo de reestructuración de la economía nacional vinculada a la nueva dinámica global de acumulación del capital proveyó de una narrativa de la crisis y construyó las representaciones e ideología para legitimar el juicio político.O golpe de Estado parlamentar consumado no Paraguai contra o presidente constitucional Fernando Lugo, em junho de 2012, expôs o papel da imprensa paraguaia como protagonista nos novos formatos destituintes no continente, demonstrando sua capacidade para solidificar um discurso em torno aos sentidos que viriam a justificar o julgamento parlamentar.
