| Resumo: | This paper presents and discusses aspects of ongoing research about the presence and the musical-mediatic practices that conform a “latin” scene or circuit in São Paulo/Brasil. We focus the actions of migrants from Hispanic America living in the city, as well as Brazilians involved in this wide range of activities that includes the DJs activities, promoting events, bars and dance venues, dance lessons, cooking, arts plastics exhibition and film, among others. In this article, we analyze this scene or circuit (with its actors, practices and scenarios) and the importance of this theoretical and methodological framework to reflect on urban cultures permeated by media processes. |
