It discharged on the second postoperative day without complications..La hernia de Amyand es un diagnóstico inusual donde el apéndice cecal es parte del contenido del saco herniario en una hernia inguinal. Se presenta el caso de un paciente de sexo masculino de 71 años de edad, con diagnóstico de hernia inguinal derecha tratado quirúrgicamente encontrándose como hallazgo transoperatorio una hernia de Amyand. Se realiza apendectomía y hernioplastia con evolución clínica favorable.
