Teaching experience that facilitates professional development and the improvement of healthcare quality is vital.El profesional enfermero/a de quirófano durante su formación debe adquirir conocimientos del entorno quirúrgico, aspectos medioambientales, rol del equipo humano, seguridad del paciente, anestesia, aparataje, instrumental, suturas y cuidados básicos de enfermería que serán aplicados al paciente quirúrgico. Los fundamentos serán generales y adaptables a todo proceso quirúrgico y tipo de paciente; los aspectos teóricos deben acompañarse de un minucioso entrenamiento en destrezas, previa la práctica profesional en toda especialidad quirúrgica.
