Summary:The author traces the changes in relations between Ecuador and Peru as a result of the Peace Agreement signed in Brasilia in 1998, which was the final stage of a diplomatic process that began in 1992. In addition to presenting several actions of cooperation and interdependence recently developed by both countries, this article suggests an agenda aimed at deepening bilateral relations in the next years. In this regard, it points out the need to advance joint initiatives within the framework provided by the Andean Community's foreign policy.
