In this context, now Cuba has a double challenge: to achieve an economic and political reform, and its reintegration to the American Continent. |

Por motivos de interés geopolítico y económico, desde su Revolución, Cuba ha padeció la constante intervención internacional. Tiempo después, la construcción y la supervivencia de un modelo económico y social post-revolucionario, dependieron del apoyo o “desamparo” de los países protagonistas durante el período de la Guerra Fría. Ahora, casi 60 años después de la Revolución, todavía las remesas provenientes del exterior suponen la fuente más importante de ingresos para Cuba.
