Summary:Digital journalism is transforming the forms of production and dissemination of content, including its narratives and thematic axes. Due to the changes in the digital environment, journalism assumes new challenges, they include funding sources and content verification. The Ecuadorian digital journalism evolution is now exposed, from its beginnings until the first semester of 2018, where a considerable change can be seen in it, taking into account the important digital native media increase; however, another particular phenomenon is the number of them which disappear for many reasons. Journalists who remain in force bet on new narratives and the use of social networks frequency. This article includes a table in which your social network accounts are detailed so that users can learn more about their dissemination forms and follow them to have an informative exercise with different sources and resources. The article ends with some elements to face the challenges presented by digital journalism in Ecuador.
