The notion of governmentality speaks about the way in which we are governed and govern ourselves. Neoliberalism seeks to establish itself as a rationality, while it establishes competition as the norm and enterprise as the mode of subjectivation. To this end, it draws on governmental techniques for the optimization of the individual. These techniques are amplified by machinic algorithms that are capable of collecting and processing data that are then used for profiling. |

A partir de la caracterización teórica de los diferentes fenómenos que las componen, nuestra hipótesis plantea que entre ambas gubernamentalidades hay una relación de tipo sinérgica. La noción de gubernamentalidad habla acerca de la forma en que somos gobernados y nos gobernamos a nosotros mismos. El neoliberalismo busca establecerse como racionalidad, mientras que instaura a la competencia como norma y a la empresa como modo de subjetivación. Para esto se nutre de técnicas gubernamentales que conllevan a la optimización del individuo.
