Beskrivelse
Summary:The study focused on improving the travel experience for people with disabilities, addressing “Accessible Tourism”. The main objective was to identify proposals to overcome the obstacles faced by individuals with disabilities while traveling. Employing a qualitative methodology, a contextual analysis approach was used to understand the particular experiences and challenges faced by these travelers. Through this methodology, an in-depth understanding of the issues could be captured without resorting to traditional data collection methods. The results showed a strong need to adapt tourism infrastructure and services to make them more inclusive. Key areas were identified, such as adaptability of accommodations, accessibility in transportation, and staff training in awareness and attention to specific needs. Proposed solutions included the implementation of adaptive technologies and the promotion of more inclusive policies by tourism authorities and service providers.
