Using Monte Carlo simulations and optimization techniques to stress out fiscal financial accounts, control variables have been found and subsequently 1t has been possible to identify the impact of these key variables on the defined fiscal sustainability objective function. Along the paper 1t is concluded that current fiscal policies applied on Ecuador do not satisfy the condition of sustainability and therefore new policies that fulf11l this requirement have been proposed. |

El modelo desarrollado evalúa la viabilidad, en el mediano plazo, de la política fiscal. Para ello, se analiza su sostenibilidad no sólo a partir de la capacidad del Gobierno para cumplir con el servicio de la deuda adquirida, sino también de la posibilidad de aumentar la deuda pública. A través de simulaciones de Monte Carlo y optimización del esfuerzo fiscal, se determinan las principales variables de control y su impacto sobre los indicadores de sostenibilidad fiscal.
