A lo largo de los años, se ha evidenciado a nivel mundial la importancia de la adopción de medios de pago electrónicos en beneficio de las personas y actividad económica de los países. En este trabajo, haciendo uso de la Encuesta Nacional de Empleo, Subempleo y Desempleo (ENEMDU), mediante un modelo logístico, se identificó los principales determinantes que influyen en los ecuatorianos para el uso de los medios de pago electrónicos. Las características como la edad, educación, ingresos, zona territorial, educación financiera y región influyen sobre la probabilidad de utilizar medios de pago electrónicos en los hogares del Ecuador.
