الملخص:This paper examines the economic interrelationships in Ecuador using the Input-Output Matrix (IOM) methodology for the period 2009-2019. It analyzes forward and backward productive linkages, classifying activities into key sectors, engines, base, and island sectors according to Rasmussen coefficients. The results identify agriculture, manufacturing, commerce, and transportation as the sectors with the highest linkages, standing out as growth drivers and suppliers of inputs. Additionally, trends such as the decline in sectors like milling and product processing, as well as the growth in sugar refining, are observed. These findings provide key inputs for the design of public policies aimed at economic reactivation, prioritizing sectors with the greatest potential to stimulate economic activity and promoting productive diversification. The study emphasizes the importance of the IOM as a tool for promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Ecuador.
