সংক্ষিপ্ত:Ecuador was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. During 2020, one of the problems faced by policy makers is that it was difficult to recognize which households need to be saved from temporary liquidity shocks and which households suffer from a more permanent debt situation, leaving them insolvent. The objective of this paper is to identify the profile of informal workers accessing microcredit, consumer credit and informal credit during 2020. To this end, a logit model is estimated for each of the credit segments analyzed, using data from the “Encuesta Trabajadores COVID-19, Ecuador” of the Escuela Politécnica Nacional. The results show that the profile of informal workers accessing each of the credit segments analyzed is different from each other. Having a partner, earning less than USD 1.000 and owning their own home have a positive influence on informal workers’ access to microcredits. Having higher education and financial education increases the probability of having consumer credit. Finally, the need for a new loan and having no credit history positively influence informal workers’ access to informal credit.
