Para lo cual se realiza un análisis correlacional entre las variaciones presentadas en la producción de aceite de palma de Ecuador, Colombia y Perú, durante los últimos 20 años, para descubrir si existe o no correlación, con el fin de determinar si los países vecinos se ven afectados por la pudrición del cogollo y otras plagas de la palma de aceite de la misma forma que el Ecuador. Se usan los programas Excel en su versión más reciente 2020 y Eviews 6.0 con el fin de realizar la correlación y la correlación regresiva de la producción de aceite de palma de estos tres países, encontrándose que a pesar de la cercanía geográfica en sus plantaciones no existe correlación entre la tasa de crecimiento de los países. Lo que lleva a concluir que sería conveniente la implementación de un sistema moderno nacional de análisis de datos, comenzando por un registro nacional para productores de palma en el Ecuador, ya que las caídas en la producción de palma siempre han sido mayores que en Colombia y Perú, que sí poseen un sistema de registro o plan nacional para su desarrollo.
