Resumo:The ethnobotanical use of medicinal plants in the Abras de Mantequilla wetland and its area of influence was determined, a total of 46 analytical surveys were applied. 39 species, 36 genera and 28 families of plants for medicinal use were recorded, the species with the highest frequency were Cymbopogon citratus, Origanum vulgare and Valeriana officinalis, diseases of the gastrointestinal category obtained the highest percentage of cure of plant species, the highest percentage of treatment were the preparation by cooking. C. citratus, O. vulgare and V. officinalis registered the highest Use Value Index (IVU), Relative Species Knowledge (RVU) and Significant Use of Tramil (UST).
