Feminism and social struggle have managed to visualize the problem, and they have forced States to seek for mechanisms to make visible and raise awareness about the gap of discrimination and inequality, but above all about the wave of violence against women. The inclusion of criminal types does not change cultural patterns like the patriarchy, however, this criminal type should be used as an opportunity for debate, information and the formation of Ecuadorian society. To deny the existence of the norm is to deny the latent reality of discrimination against women. |
